I’ve never understood how judges can so easily release dangerous people back into the world—people who were hunted down and caught by officers risking their lives to protect us. It feels like a betrayal. What kind of justice system lets predators walk free while victims live in fear? Sometimes I wonder if some of these judges are blind to the pain they cause—or worse, if they’ve become so numb or corrupt that they no longer care. When trust in the system breaks, who holds the gatekeepers accountable?
It’s not just that these criminals are walking free—it’s that they’re walking free again and again, repeating the same crimes like it’s a game with no consequences. Each time they’re caught, it costs thousands—our taxpayer money—just to bring them in and take them off the streets. And yet, judges release them without a second thought, without remorse, as if the safety of our communities means nothing.
We’re trying to raise our children in a world that feels safe, but how can we, when predators and pedophiles are allowed to roam free? We work hard to protect our kids, to keep them off the streets and away from danger, but the very system that’s supposed to protect us keeps putting them at risk. Where is the justice in that?
On another note: Idaho just made child sex trafficking a death penalty. If more states followed suit, I am sure this pathetic evil crime would come to an end in America.
